Cosmic Haze Biography

John Gray and Chuck Martino started Cosmic Haze in the spring 1997. They jammed together until late 1999, when bassist Frank Clayton, a very gifted musician, joined the band. Frank has a massive resume of achievements, among them his ability to play a variety of instruments. His addition of the saxophone, bass, flute, and piano was what the band needed to complete it's diverse sound. Over the years, the experiemental members of Haze have switched sounds and instruments, but currently the band features John on vocals and guitar, Frank on bass, Chuck on the turn tables, and Steve Langelan on drums. Their masterful skill and soulful jams create feel good tunes that are impossible to resist. For the past 7 years they have perfected their Reggae, Rock, Blues, HipHop, Funk, Punk, Ska, Surf, Feel good, Soul music sound. Since 2001 Haze has released 3 albums, with another on the way this summer. They Have been building an underground scene for the past 2 1/2 years playing every single place they could. Their motto is "Playing where ever we can, whenever we can." That has lead to Cosmic Haze embarking on their first western US tour in August 2004. With the upcoming release of their new album "Paradise" and another tour this summer (this time to the east coast), Cosmic Haze will be a defining force in the new wave of music to come.
